Built to Fall is part of the Metal Series range of beers by Marble. Each beer brewed to celebrate a particular metal band or musician. This particular beer is a homage to Trivium - a heavy metal band from Orlando who formed in 1999. Their second album Ascendency, released in 2004, saw stand-out singles including "Like Light to the Flies", "Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr", "A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation" and "Dying in Your Arms".
Built to Fall is marble's interpretation of an American Pale Ale. The thick and foamy white head creates a pillow for the aromas to rest. The yeast sits there first and dominates the initial inhale. Beneath that are layers of citrus fruit with some fragrant floral notes.
It's incredibly fresh and fruity tasting with further citrus notes of sweet orange and grapefruit zest. There's a hint of resinous pine too, a signature flavour of some of the best American Pale Ales.
Marble beers have good distribution throughout the UK and can easily be found in most independent bottle shops.
All of their current beer range is vegan-friendly, as no isinglass finings are used at all.
This beer is suitable for vegans at the time of writing (October 2016).
