Damage Plan from Marble Brewery is the first in a new series of music inspired beers from head brewer James Kemp. This particular beer is brewed in honour of the legend that was Dimebag Darrel from the band of the same name.
Pouring a light, pale orange colour, the head is small and conceals a few floating protien particles below. The aroma can easily be described as dank with a distinctive earthy dampness to it. This is interwoven with notes of honey, grapefruit and pineapple.
This West Coast IPA tastes strong at first, with a smooth honeyed maltiness running through the background. Grapefruit pith lingers on the finish with an interesting savoury pepperiness that's not dissimilar to green peppers.
Marble beers have good distribution throughout the UK and can easily be found in most independent bottle shops.
All of their current beer range is vegan-friendly, as no isinglass finings are used at all.
This beer is suitable for vegans at the time of writing (December 2016).
