IPAs tend to be on the stronger side, but Fourpure Brewing Co. have created this easy drinking, sessionable IPA inspired by American brewing. Despite its relatively low ABV, this is a big beer with bold hops including Citra, Galaxy, Mosaic, Ahtanum, and Crystal. Epic resinous aromas leap out of the can before you get a chance to transfer it to a glass. Session IPA is packed full of huge American hop flavours of tropical and citrus fruits. Mango, peach and pineapple are all there, as well as hints of toffee and caramel from the malt. The carbonation is perfectly pitched to cleanse the palate.
Fourpure Brewing Co. have a respectable stance on sustainability and are leading the way with canning their beers rather than bottling. Cans are seen as a much more environmentally-friendly and sustainable way of packaging beer and are becoming more commonplace. They’re easier to stack, transport and recycle, as well as improving freshness by reducing exposure to air and light. Fourpure Brewing Co. are part of the new range of craft beer that M&S now stock, including their excellent Pils.
Cans of Fourpure's Session IPA can be bought from the vast majority of M&S stores.
Fourpure Brewing Co. core beers do not use finings, they use a centrifuge to remove the yeast and then cold conditioning to reduce chill haze. It is always worth consumers checking out if any special one-off beers are suitable.
This beer is suitable for vegans at the time of writing (November 2016).
