What's not to love about this beer? The name alone taken from the classic Underworld song that sound-tracked the cult film Trainspotting should be enough to make you want it.
Despite being an unfiltered Pilsner and completely emptying the bottle, it still manages to pour a clear, pale lemon colour. There's a beautiful cascade of fine bubbles that slowly break through the white, foamy covering across the top of the glass.
Distinctly zesty on the nose with citrusy notes of freshly zested lemon and lime. These citrus flavours dominate the taste with a hint of white bread and dry grass. There's a lovely rolling bitterness throughout which is carried away by the tongue tickling carbonation.
Arbor Ales are based in Bristol and have good distribution throughout the south west including two of their bottled beers in M&S stores. They have a good reputation and you will find their beers in specialist bottle shops around the country.
All of the kegs and bottled beers produced by Arbor Ales are vegan-friendly with the exception of a few that use lactose (milk sugar). Their dark cask beers are also vegan with the same exceptions.
This beer is suitable for vegans at the time of writing (February 2017).
